Drop-In Morning Skates

Skills development sessions throughout the season that focuses on body alignment, edges, power, speed, agility, and transitions. Sessions will also involve stick & puck drills. This is a great skills development supplement to skaters' regular team practices.

This page is for signing up for individual, drop-in sessions that become available throughout the year. If you would like to attend weekly sessions, please see our Morning Skates program.

Age & Skill Level

Monday, Thursday (at Chiller Easton), and Friday sessions are typically geared at 9-15 year olds in the A/AA/AAA programs.



Thursday sessions (at Chiller North) are specially designed for our youngest and/or newest members to the LHSS (usually between 6-11 years old).

Registration

Registration is on a first come/first serve basis as spots become available in the Morning Skates program.

Please only sign up for the age & skill level that you are currently at or we may have to cancel your registration.

When

Sessions run from September 2024 through March 2025.

All sessions are held from 6:15-7:15 a.m. Skaters can be on the ice as early as 6 a.m. to start warming up.

Where

Monday and Friday morning sessions are at Chiller North.

There are two Thursday morning sessions and are held at either Chiller North or Chiller Easton.

Special Considerations

If you would like to sign-up for weekly sessions, we offer 4-week sessions each month from September through March. For more information, see our Morning Skates program.

Cost

The individual session (drop-in) rate is $52.50 per session.

Refund Policy

No refunds for any registrations. In the case of illness or injury, please give email notification of the absence PRIOR to the start of the session and we will assess on an individual basis.

Inclement Weather

We follow the weather closings & delays of the Chiller Ice Rinks. Please refer to their website/social media to see if there are any new alerts, and please plan accordingly for difficult road conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How early can my skater get on the ice?

Skaters are allowed on the ice at 6 a.m. We recommend getting on the ice between 6 and 6:10 a.m. to start warming up.

What if my skater needs to leave early for school reasons?

Sessions are over at 7:15 a.m. However, if your skater needs to leave early, we understand.

What if my skater wakes up ill and cannot make the session?

We understand that illnesses happen. Please refer to our Refund Policy listed above.
